TRAINING IN PHUKET

Muay Thai classes for beginners in Phuket

Our Muay Thai program is built for complete beginners who have never thrown a kick, holiday athletes who want authentic training while in Thailand, and experienced strikers who need sharp clinch and ring craft. You do not need fight experience to start — you need willingness to learn and respect for the gym culture.

Many guests search for Muay Thai classes for beginners Phuket because they want real coaching, not a photo-op on pads for ten minutes. At Lions you train on Soi Ta-iad alongside locals, long-term expats, and visiting fighters under the same standards.

If you are preparing for amateur or professional bouts, morning and afternoon sessions give you twelve weekly opportunities to sharpen timing, defense, and fight IQ with coaches who have cornered in Thailand and abroad.

Soi Ta-iad is Phuket's fight-street — gyms, gear shops, and recovery spots within walking distance. Lions sits at 45/28 Soi Ta-iad in Chalong: easy to reach from Rawai, Kata, and Phuket Town, with parking and Grab drop-off at the soi entrance. Train here for a week or a year; drop-ins and monthly passes both work.

Searching Muay Thai classes Phuket beginners often leads to beach cardio or hotel gyms. Lions is a full martial arts club: professional ring, structured rounds, and coaches who treat your first class like the start of a real skill path — not a one-off workout.

Pack hand wraps (we sell gloves and gear on-site), arrive fifteen minutes early to wrap and meet the coach, and tell us on WhatsApp if it is your first session so we pair you with the right pad holder. Drop-in is 450 THB including VAT; weekly and monthly options are on the schedule page.

COACHING

Your Muay Thai coaching team

Head coach Mustapha leads the Muay Thai room with decades of ring experience in Morocco, Thailand, and international competition. The carousel on this page includes Thai and international pad holders and fighters who live the culture daily — not rotating freelancers. Credentials matter when you are learning to kick safely: every coach here corners, holds pads, and spars at the level they teach.
