Meet our head coach, Marcio “Gracinha” Cesar. A 5th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with 51 professional MMA fights and 19 years as a black belt — Marcio brings world-class credentials to every session on the mat. His career took him through Brazil's most elite training environments, from the legendary Chute Boxe Academy to Nova Uniao Brazil, competing at the highest levels in global organisations including Shooto and Pancrase. That pedigree is what he brings to Lions MMA every single day. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or preparing for your next fight, Marcio trains you with the same precision and attention he applied to his own career — no shortcuts, no fluff. Just real coaching from someone who's lived it.
Sessions run about 60–90 minutes depending on the day. Arrive early to wrap, introduce yourself to the coach, and warm up with the group.
Marcio Gracinha anchors grappling for pro MMA with fifty-one fight career experience. Striking and wrestling specialists across Lions contribute rounds so you are not repeating one coach's bias. Pro athletes get honesty — if you are not ready for spar, coaches will say so.
